Rob graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1994 with a degree in Construction Management, and in 1997 he started The McFate Group. In 2017, The McFate Group acquired Engineered Buildings, Inc. In 2021, McFate acquired Morkin and Sowards. In 2022, EBI opened a branch in Houston, Texas.

As the President of all three companies, Rob is focused on leading teams in the most efficient ways possible—on job sites and in the office.
